What Are Our Products of Gear Bender?

A tube can be bent in multiple directions and angles. Common simple bends consist forming elbows, which are bends, and U-bends, which are 180° bends. Tube bending is any metal forming processes used to permanently form pipes or tubing. The gear-type tube benders provide easy-to-use tube benders that reduce installation time and effort as well as the potential for wrinkling or other damage to the tubing during bending.

We have 7 in 1 multi-bender kit, which is a cross-bow-type tube bender set for easy operation and carry. The diameters include 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4" & 7/8" O.D. supplied in a sturdy plastic case.

Gear bender tool for bending, strength-saving, manual-operating, and workable for bending aluminum copper tube. It is suitable for bending pipe fittings made of soft and hard copper, aluminum, brass, steel, or temper tube. No pre-warming of the pipe is required, for cool bending up to 180 degrees. Gear makes labor-saving, easy and simple operation. Tripod with adjustable and foldable legs.

For 1/4" to 7/8" O.D. tubing and all bending work, spur-gear type is with the 10-to-1 ratio for easy bending of tempered tubing. The floating shoe aligns the tube perfectly on the calibrated forming wheel. Pull-pin on wheel speeds repositioning for bends over 90", even 180". The tools can be portable, handheld, clamped in a vise, or bolted to the bench.

How to Use Gear-Type Tube Bender?

Today we are going to tell you the gear-type tube bender instruction below. How to use a hand gear type tube bender?

When it comes to bending metal, some mechanics think they can just put a simple bend in a part and solve their problem. Doing so incorrectly puts structural integrity and function at risk; however, proper bending is especially important for tubes. An improper bend can create eddies or dams that impede the flow of exhaust gases or fluids. The followings are some steps to help you to use a bender.

Step 1. Hold the Tube Across the Gear Bender

For making right-hand or left-hand bends, please hold the tube across the gear bender. The tube in the groove of the bender dies with the reference mark to the left of the tube latch close the tube latch over the tube, this restricts the movement of the tube, but still allows for additional alignment to carefully lower the short handle until the roll dies rest gently on the tube, while keeping the link straight and parallel to the ling handle note that premature bending may occur if the link is not straight and parallel to the long handle.

Step 2. Turn the Handle Clockwise Until the Desired Degree of Bend Is Obtained

The handle may be extended to full width to give maximum leverage. Align the zero on the roll support with the zero on the nameplate, and align the bend mark with the mark on the roll support that corresponds to the bend angle L corresponds to ninety (90) degrees, slowly pushes the short handle down until the zero (0) on the roll support, reaches the ninety (90) degrees mark on the nameplate note that tubing will spring back slightly after the bend has been completed.

Step 3. To Adjust for Spring Back

Left the bender handle, and repeat the alignment of the tubing with the roll support. Then, measure the bend with the bend scale, and bend an additional two or three degrees as needed.

Depending on the type of tube you need to bend, we have a wide selection of bending equipment. These machines are effective and accurate for steel tube bending, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, thin wall steel tubing.
